9. Instagram and Meta Platform Data



When you authorize Mindframe Media to access your Instagram Business or Creator account through the Instagram API with Instagram Login, we collect a defined set of data on your behalf. This section describes that data and how we handle it. By authorizing our application during onboarding, you consent to this collection. This data is what Meta refers to as "Platform Data."



### 9.1 What we collect from Instagram

We collect the following from your Instagram account when you authorize our application:


- Your Instagram username, Instagram user ID, and account type.

- Conversation metadata: participant IDs and the last-updated timestamp for each conversation.

- Direct message content: message body text, sender ID, recipient ID, and message creation timestamp.

- When applicable, the source ad ID and icebreaker title that initiated each conversation.


We do not collect: post media, follower lists, follower counts, story content, archived messages older than what the Instagram API exposes, or data from any account other than the one you explicitly authorized.



9.2 How we collect it

When you click "Connect Instagram" in your client portal at app.mfdash.xyz, you are redirected to Meta's standard authorization screen ( OAuth consent screen ). After you review the requested permissions and grant consent, our application receives an access token scoped to your Instagram account.


We use this token to read your conversations and messages via the Instagram API. Reads happen via periodic polling of the Instagram Graph API and via webhook events delivered by Meta when supported.


Access tokens are stored encrypted at rest in our secured database. Tokens are scoped per client and isolated from other client data.


9.3 How we use it

The Instagram data we collect is used exclusively for analytics and reporting displayed to you and your account team. Specifically:


- Your private client portal at app.mfdash.xyz/portal/<token> displays a "DMs Received" widget summarizing your ad-driven direct message volume, daily trends, and which icebreaker prompts drove the most engagement.

- Our internal operations team uses an admin view to monitor DM performance across all clients we serve, so we can recommend creative and budget adjustments to your campaigns.

- Aggregated, non-personally-identifying patterns inform our recommendations on Instagram ad creative strategy across our client roster.


We do not use your Instagram data for:



- Advertising or audience targeting outside of campaigns you have explicitly approved.

- Training machine learning models with content from outside your own scoped data.

- Generating outbound messages on your behalf. Our application reads your messages for analytics only. Replies to your DMs continue to be sent by you through the standard Instagram app.



9.4 Retention

We retain your Instagram data only while you are an active Mindframe Media client. Specifically:


- All collected data is retained for the duration of your active service with us.

- If your account becomes inactive for 90 consecutive days, we begin a purge of the associated data.

- If you revoke your Instagram authorization (see Section 9.5), data is purged within 30 days.


9.5 How to revoke access and delete your Instagram data

You can revoke our OAuth access to your Instagram account at any time:


1. Visit https://www.instagram.com/accounts/manage_access/ while logged into the Instagram account that authorized us.

2. Find "Mindframe Growth OS APP" in the list and tap Remove.


When you revoke access, Instagram notifies our application via Meta's standard deauthorize webhook. We immediately mark your access token as revoked, and the associated data is scheduled for deletion within 30 days.

9.6 Third-party sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your Instagram data with any third party for any purpose. Your data is processed only by Mindframe Media (Arreola Familia LLC) systems and is not transferred to advertisers, analytics platforms, model training services, or any other external service.
